Fleshy Mixed Media That Glides

The October First Fridays Art Walk was perhaps the best one I've attended. After a rocky start laden with indecision and apathy, my friend and I committed to the north side of Broad and came upon three stimulating exhibits. All three are up through the end of October and conveniently located near several martini providers (Comfort, Bistro 27) that also happen to serve excellent food.

1. Josh George at Ghostprint Gallery

2. Susan Singer at Visual Art Studio

3. Splinters by Glide Skateboards at 212 W Broad St

Make sure to check out the November First Friday Art Walk on Broad (free, of course!). With cooler temps it will be the perfect opportunity to bundle up and stroll while stopping along the way for a bourbon and ginger or two!

I "third" it! I haven't been so impressed by a work of art in awhile - he has a very unique mixed media approach. It's especially good in his urban landscape piece...really brings out the texture of the city.
